San Jose

In August of 2012,  a group from Resurrection traveled to Guatemala to begin a partnership with San Jose in the community Santa Amelia.  Since then, Resurrection has worked alongside Como Park Lutheran Church who had a previous partnership with San Jose.  San Jose changed their name to  Cristo Luz del Mundo (Christ Light of the World) in 2015.  We support Cristo Luz del Mundo  financially, and also through prayer.  We are happy to welcome their pastoral staff whenever they come to visit our synod and congregation.  Most recently, we have chosen to support a high school student from Cristo Luz del Mundo with a scholarship so that he can attend high school and eventually seminary.
