WHAT MAKES US PROUD

We sing together, play together, pray together, worship together, and serve together.  As one of the first Reconciling in Christ congregations in the Twin Cities, we actively welcome all people into our midst:  gay, lesbian, straight, transgender. Whoever you are, you are welcome here!

OUR MISSION AND VISION

Mission Statement of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Marked with the cross of Christ forever, we are claimed, gathered, and sent for the sake of the world.

Vision Statement of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection

Baptized into Christ, we receive life through weekly Word and Sacrament.   We are a people who:

  • value our confessional Lutheran heritage

  • read and study God's World

  • follow the liturgical calendar of the Church

  • sing and play a full range of old and new music

  • are involved as a community in the liturgy

All this imparts a special sense of family as we work, play, eat, and pray together.   We are:

  • inter-generational

  • mutually supportive

  • caring

Shaped by this experience, we respond gratefully in the world.   We seek to:

  • be inclusive, welcoming all people into our midst

  • be ecumenical, making common cause with other Christians

  • share our faith with others here and throughout the word

  • confront issues of social justice

  • support each other in our Christian vocations
