In 2014, the church council set forth on the task of reorganizing our current committee structure. With the goal in mind of having fewer people in meetings, and more engaged in hands-on ministry, as well as building clearer boundaries between committees, the following structure was established:
Parish Life Committee: The mission of the Parish Life committee is to promote and enhance the vibrant community life here and give all people a sense of belonging. This group engages members and guests in a variety of activities as a means of building community. Some examples of these events include: Friendship 7, Oktoberfest, and the Lefse cookoff.
Worship, Music and the Arts: The mission of the Worship, Music and Arts committee is to assist the pastor and the congregational council in providing the highest quality worship experience for the congregation. Examples of ways in which they do this is decorating the worship space, recruiting and training worship leaders, and helping to provide musical diversity in worship.
Outreach Committee: The mission of the Outreach committee is to reach to people within our neighborhood, locally, nationally and globally. Examples of this outreach include: monthly missions, Night to Unite, care of creation, Bountiful Backpacks, and school supply drives.
Education and Youth Committee: The Education and Youth committee seeks to engage all members in learning. Examples of this ministry include: Sunday School for all ages, adult forum, Confirmation, Wednesday night meals, Vacation Bible School, youth lock-ins, and the Night on the Street.
