Career and Life Transition Program

Pastor Laurel is working with special needs adults (former students of the CLT program through the Mounds View Schools and Roseville Schools) who wish to give back and make a difference. They want to help make baskets for homeless youth working with Avenues for Homeless Youth and YouthLinks Centers.

Theses young adults are seeking donations which they will then put into care baskets and will help deliver the baskets to the shelters. The former CLT students are young adults who have difficulties working based on medical and or social needs, but through volunteer opportunities they work with Job Coaches for a few hours a week.

By donating to this project the congregations are helping young special needs adults make a difference in the teen and young adult homeless communities in the Twin Cities.

Beginning in January we will begin collecting items or gift cards to complete themed baskets. The theme for January is medical supplies: Acetaminophen, Allergy Relief, Antacids, Antibiotic Ointment, Anti-Itch Cream, Athlete’s Foot Spray, Cold Packs, Ear Plugs, Hot Packs, Ibuprofen, Menstrual Relief Medicine, Bandages, Antiseptic wipes, or Target gift cards of any amount.

Drop the items in the Basket labeled SPECIAL NEEDS MINISTRY COLLECTION during January. Or if you wish put them in Pastor Laurel’s Office in the Sunday School Media Room by the main office.
